Facebook finally extends privacy to it’s mobile site

Very good news for mobile FFacebook mobileacebook users out there! We can now have access to Facebook's social network settings.

Facebook's mobiles subscribers with smartphones and/or tablets will finally be able to customize settings on who can see their profile info.

Facebook mobile product manager, Michael Sharon said:

"You are in control of how you connect and share on Facebook."

It's almost the same to how you can make change to the desktop version.

It's a good thing that these changes were made. Escpecially now that mobile devices are starting to become more sophisticated. As far as I know, Facebook is the only social networking site who provides the same privacy settings for their mobile subscribers.

These changes are possible for browser-enabled phones as well as tablets.

I'm especially concerned because I also frequently use my phone to browse my Facebook account. Also, there are more and more people who getting more knowledgeable of phone application hacks that can access information through our phones.

Although Facebook has already rolled out these changes. Not all of the present settings from the desktop version are available. Some might not be found yet since the changes are being rolled out gradually.

This certainly is a big leap for the mobile community. Security and safety are the most important when it comes to social networking, and these changes will keep the users confident that they're information is only being shared to those who they want to share it with.
