Speed Up your Globe Tattoo Signal
When i conducted my own Speed test at Home and School. I conclude that Globe Tattoo is the fastest internet mobile in the country. You can try it yourself if you have both SmartBro and Globe Tattoo.
There are two way to Speed Up your Globe Tattoo Signal. The first one is you need to set to 3G and HSDPA signal only. you can do this by going to: TOOLS> OPTIONS> NETWORK> NETWORK TYPE, and choose WCDMA Only. This will not choose signal such as GPRS.
The second way is for location and spots where signal is low. You can buy External Antenna of the USB Modem and allow it to search for a higher signal strength.

Same question to ask you,where did you find or buy the external antennae?and for your suggestion on how to speed up the signal of the tattoo, well, there’s nothing on my combo box, it’s really empty i don’t know why.The signal before was WCDMA to HSDPA and now its GPRS.Your page helps my question why.Thank you and hope you can help about my signal on how to fill it up(empty combo box) or speed it up.

you need to buy on ebay. if it is only GPRS, then you have a signal location problem, this means that you are not in the 3G area. A good reception possibly with antena will give you maximum signal that disallow intermittent connection and transfer of data.

ei..extrenal antenna are free…just call globe customer service…
hey i’ll give you a tip on how to speed up your globe tattoo kit(USB)
1. install BitTorrent application(torrent application)
2. then after installing…download a torrent file(movies,games, etc.) thru torrent websites…(isohunt.com,btjunkie.org.demonoid.com)
3.make bit tirrent as your default torrent application
4.check your globe tattoo connection always “HSPA” and boost your internet connectionn..

i don’t think that will work. without electrical connection through the tranciever of your 3g modem does not make any sense. and beside you’re gonna need to compute the optimum gain of the antenna you want to integrate rather than using a scrap metallic conductor. at 2.1GHZ what you need is a small directional antenna, terminated at both end and must be electrically connected to the tranciever of the usb modem itself.

I am a specie before Computer Geeks and I am also a newbie with Globe Tattoo…
Now.., here’s my question…
what is the difference between HSPA and HSDPA…
my Globe Tattoo box shows a signal bar with HSDPA Globe connection…
Should I have a better connection if HSPA Globe appears instead of HSDPA…
OR HSPA and HSDPA was the same and there’s just a typo-error above…
(I will assure you that I will research more about speeding up Globe Tattoo and answering my question will surely take me to the next Stair…)

HSPA= highspeed paccket acces. both downlink and uplink has a highspeed streaming bit of sending and recieving data.
HSDPA= highspeed downlink packet accces., highspeed download but lowspeed upload.

I follow the instruction pero mahina parin pero when I click the registration mode(TOOLS> OPTIONS> NETWORK>REGISTRATION MODE) then I refresh may nakita akong pagbabago ang globe lang naging globe3g when I click register after siguro mga 3mins. lumakas signal naging HSDPA

youre gonna neeg to hardmod it. open your your usb plugit, search for a module that terminates the signal (antenna) then this is where you connect your cable going trough external antenna. if properly terminated, you can minimized the VSWR and have matched Impedance for both external antenna and transmission line. =)

Seryoso ka brad? Radio and TV antennas are vhf with the freq of 90-100mhz try mo saksak yan sa tattoo mo hihina signal mo or cause damage coz of mismatch frequency. Magbasa muna kau ng klase ng antenna wag lang invent n di nyo alam or better buy hsdpa antenna kung di mo talaga alam.

pwede bah antenna nang sirang cellphone ilagay sa dulo?…starnded wire lng kasi gamit ko.galing utp cable..HSDPA nga signal ko.aabot1.5mb to 2mb pg on download mood.pro pg surfing lng 30kbps up..pg skype minsan putol2x..every 10 mins or more.pro minsan maganda reception walang chappy.gusto ung stable kasi.pro ok din nmn to.hope u have idea how to make signal stable..

TAMA C KRISTOFFER……..dati ko pang ginawa yan january 2011 naging desperado ako s signal ko kaya nag isip ako ng paraan..
naglagay ako ng khit anong wire or caoxial cable wire n gingamit ko s tv..ni rubber ko yung wire s tattoo kit ko..en den yung external wire ko nilagay ko s taas or bubong.pos yung dulo ng wire ko ni conect ko yung extra tv antenna KO…
pag connect ko NAGING STABLE ANG SIGNAL KO HSDPA..UP TO 2.8MBPS NA SIGNAL KO NOW…pag nagdown signal ko hanggang 900kbps lng cya.
dati signal ko 1-32kbps lng nakakainit ng ulo dati kong signal..

maybe ibang dahilan kung bakit bumilis ang speed ng internet mo. pero microwave po yung band ng 3g. ang tv, vhf at uhf lang.. ang antenna ng 3g ay napakaliit. saka wala naman pong electrical connection yung antenna saka usb modem niyo basta sabi mo nagdikit lang. kinokorek ko lang po. =)

talaga lang! at first usage nyo sa globe, talagang speedy pa xa, pero after a weeks or months, don na nagloloko ung speed ng connection, skin nga hanggang 100+ kbps ung speed.. eh ang description pa naman ng broadband na to is aabot hanggang 3 mbps. Imagine, ang layo ng agwat ng speed kaysa specified speed talaga ng broadband nato.. how frustrating and disappointing, buti pa palitan nyo nalangng mga may stable connection talaga gaya ng mydsl.. sulit pa binabayad nyo don

It works exactly like cellphone. na nililibot ko pa yung laptop sa buong bahay para makahanap ng decent signal. Mahina talaga signal samin dahil mejo nasa-sandwhich kami ng mga matataas na bldg. Ive tried wrapping wire na ginagamit ko sa speakers dun sa kit then nasa labas ng bahay ang kabilang dulo, it does improve a bit. im still testing other options, hope it works for you too.

mga kuya .. naka help po kau kunti kaso.. bata pa ako eh.. taz pag change ko sa 4g mga kuya.. ung signal lumakas .. nagigin 1 mbps na ! pero after mga 4 or 5 mins. biglang magiging 0.00kbps ang signal

2days nawala ang signal ng globe tattoo then bumalik, HSDPA nga pero ang bagal naman!! nasa tabi pa talaga kami ng globe tower!!! embierna!!!

my one and only message is that no matter what USB modem you use (Tatto, Bro, SUN) basta hanapin nu muna sa lugar nu kung ano malakas na signal… kc depende yan sa Cell Site capability… either 2G or 3G… That’s All Folks ^^V
