The Future of Smartphones
Whether you own a Nokia C3, HTC Hero, or a Samsung Omnia, which are examples of the latest smartphones today, there's a slow merge starting to occur. Their OS or Operating Systems. Most of the major smart phone manufacturer's prefer to use Adroid as their newest phone's OS. Why so? Why not Symbian or iOS(iPod-iPad OS)? For the past few years, they dominated the mobile phone OS market.
But then came Android. The little green guy as some call it. It was more aesthetically better, performed faster, easier navigation and others more. The most important thing about Android is it's compatibility with most phone manufacturers. Most of the phone giants like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, HTC and Motorola. Android's flexibility even extends to PC tablets!
Now, I'm not trying to tell you to worship the Android OS. My point here is that in the near future, we might be using very flexible smart phones. Just like the PC or Laptops and Netbooks, you can change the OS. Imagine a future where you could buy a smartphone and if you don't like the OS, just swap it!
But I don't think this would be happening real soon, this might take time, in my estimation about 7 to 10 years for manufacturer's to agree on this new innovative idea since they would still need to give up on their own OSes or convince their loyal consumers that it is time to change. What do you think? Feel free to share your views!

Mobile Technology Expectations this Year
Started at the Fifth Generation of Computing as discussed in every Computer Fundamentals Subjects that the technology reach its highest level. Where we are only expecting "upgrades" and not "new technology" as the marketing strategy always saying.
Wireless Communications ideas came from the oldest Radio Frequency technology and further innovation was develop until Wi-Fi to Wi-Max. Mobile Technology expectations started already, but there are more to come. Mobile Technology are effective ways in maintaining a good sales of mobile providers, where as you can see, they are still creating basic phones based on the needs of every human. So not all phones might be equipped with these technology but doesn't mean they are not existing or but only not intended to other cellular mobile phones.
We can name a lot of possible development and upgrades in the mobile technology which will end up and give solutions to the problems facing right now by mobile users such as: 1. Small Battery Time, 2. Low Range of Wireless 3. Not so much good user interface 4. Video display problems and 5. Design Problems. Mobile Expectations this year's technology can manage the change in mobile computing as it follows:
Longer Battery Life - Mobile providers are doing innovations and upgrades due to the fact that every mobiles coming out the market requires more power.
Mobile Display - Improved crystal display for mobile phones.
Near Field Communications - This technology can give clients a convenience to easily access consumers to pay. Payments are usually made by cash, credit cards, but some places use mobile to pay instantly either that is prepaid or postpaid.
Bluetooth 3.0 - This will possibly release this 2010 where it provides better speed and better range, nothing better than that.
Mobile Tracking Technology - Where you can trace the location of other cellphone users
802.11n Wireless N - The popular iPhone only supports Wireless B and Wireless G at the moment, as Wireless N is expected to come, mobile providers must upgrade possible chips for higher performance.
Mobile User Interfaces and Widgets - Separate programs and widgets are popular to PC, some smart phones started to adapt widgets as part of interface.

Watch Phone – Something new about mobiles
Introducing LG GD 910 Watch Phone, a new innovation for mobile phones where you can turn your wrist into a communication place. Features includes it has a full touch scree, a 3G capable phone with video capabilities, with Bluetooth, Mp3 player and of course it tells time.
At this gadget you cannot miss phone calls and doesn't give you a hard time to hold a cellular phone because it is at your own wrist. Basically this innovation give a buzz to all cellular phone providers to think about another possible innovation.
LG was the first branded mobile telecommunication provider who sell Watch Phone, but China Phones imitated again with different styles. Prices of China Watch Phones are 90 percent cheaper compared to LG's original one.
Dual SIM Mobile Phones are not made in China
Filipinos can easily convinced in every sales talk especially when about mobile phones. China Phones are popular in the market. But there is something they don't know about these dual SIM-enabled phones. China Phones are being sold with unauthorized selling permit, yes it is unauthorized because they are imitation and didn't comply and tested in quality and no permission for copying a copyrighted work of leading brands. Way back 2008, China Phones was being marketed because of its unique features as they said like having a Dual Standby SIM Card, TV Watching and entertainment completeness for the price of P 15,000 to P 20,000. But this time with the start of 2010, China Phones with the same features are sold at around P 1,500 to P 4,000. Dual Sim is not new to the market, old phones such as 3310 are converted into Dual Sim but it is not Dual standby, you need to turn it off to transfer into the next line which gives you a little inconveniences.
Everybody is missing something when it comes to Dual Sim Card standby. Samsung was the first branded mobile phone to offer Dual Stand by SIM with its Model D780 released late 2007 and followed by D880 with a lower price compared with China Phones. This quality product became the copycat of other China Phones, Cherry Mobiles, My Phone, and other new brand with dual SIM standby features. The only difference of those other brands is the Operating System, since most or all of the other Dual Standby Mobile Phones are installed with the same operating system which is far different to Samsung's Dual SIM Phone OS.
At this time LG announced also its first Dual SIM capable phone KS660 with also a good price. Now there is no other reason for us Filipino to buy China Phone, unless we are really don't know technology. Since everybody is convinced with Nokia, the company is predicted to announced its Dual Sim enable phone this 2010 but will initially available in Russia, but who knows giant cellular phones provider will follow the steps of Samsung, since LG done it already.
Here are some tips you need to know when buying a dual SIM card mobile phone.
1. What will be the purpose of buying Dual SIM enable phone?
It is a fundamental question you need to ask yourself, if you are just an student without any business transaction, you don't need to separate your Personal and Business, because your friends and family are considered as Personal Contacts. Unless you have a lot of girlfriends, funny well said if you don't need it, then do not buy it.
2. What is the best brand for me?
Buying a China Phones will satisfy you in short time, but soon you will realize that money is just wasted. Choosing a leading brand such as Samsung, LG, Nokia (if already available) will give your money a real value without regrets.
3. What Network to choose for my 2nd line?
It depends on your needs, Professional people are almost connected at Globe Telecom. Students and most of no jobs people prefer Smart. Married couples and persons in relationship prefer Sun Cellular.
4. Why I need Dual SIM phone?
As a person, you have your own privacy. You don't need to mix your personal and professional life. Personal means your family, your love once who rarely contact you for an important matters only. Your Professional life can be your work, where clients and colleagues communicate with you unexpectedly.
5. Why we prefer Samsung in Dual SIM-Enabled Phone?
We all know that Nokia was the world's largest manufacturer with around 40 percent of market share, Samsung just followed with around 18 percent of market share. Sony Ericson, Motorola and lastly LG was followed after them. These mobile phones handle the market share around 80 percent in total, and 20 percent belong to others.
Not all No. 1 are the best, even with telecommunications war of Globe, Smart and Sun that we all know that SMART is No. 1. The story here is about our own selection and comparison about those Cellular phone brands. We tried different kinds of cellular phone and we found out that Samsung suited our needs, such as Long Battery life compared to Nokia, quality houses that cannot be easily broken, and of course other features. But it might be lacking with games, OS support, but honestly we don't need those because we consider mobile phones as not a game machine or a more time of entertainment, but we consider as a part of Computing with the good partnership of Computers.
Nokia N97 Features for Full Mobile Experience
This is the best mobile phone ever seen compared to Apple IPhone 3G. It is what we call an Apple Killer. Where it is equipped with majority of Features and more even better. Nokia is the worlds largest mobile producer and rank as the first in mobile sales market sharing.
You don't need external memory because Internal memory of this phone is almost 32GB! and can handle an external memory up to 16BG. It is also WI-FI ready and it has HSDPA posible connection for fast mobile browsing and computer connection. It is also 5.0 Megapixel camera.
When i try to compare Nokia N97 from Samsung Star, they have the same features but Nokia got all the best features.
Pricing of Nokia N97 was previously gone down from P 35,000 Philippine Peso to P 26,000 Philippine Peso. And this december is available for installment for only P 28,000 for 12 months without interest for card holders. We should expect on depreciation law that the price will go down until a new innovation will come.
Above picture is SAMSUNG GT-S5233W with Nokia N97.
SAMSUNG GT-S5233W – A new Touch of Excellence
SAMSUNG is the second largest market sharer of Mobile Technology. Samsung was launched another Mobile Phone last October this year which is now out in the Philippines as the newest model of Samsung Mobile.
It has 100MB of Internal memory and can handle up to 16GB of External SD Memory! A fully touch screen mobile handling 3.5 Mega pixel of Camera, and the best features of all, it is Wi-Fi ready. It is also equipped with an Accelerometer sensor where it detects the gravity of the cellular phone according to the user's handling.
Full Touch Screen Mobile devices are not new, i remember the time when i have Motorola with full touch screen which is still model 2004. But this one gives everyone a satisfaction where it is a perfect one for Computer Geek who needs Wireless Fidelity Connection anywhere at low Price. Initially it is available in the market with a Price of P 12,000 Philippine Peso. Yesterday i see another model at SM Rosales where it is available at installment for 12 months for only P 715 for 14 months, that is only P 10,000 Philippine Peso.
New Per Pulse Charging on Mobile Networks

The current charging of voice calls in the Philippines is 1min per pulse. On December 6 this year, National Telecommunications Commission ordered all Telecommunications in the Philippines namely GLOBE, SMART and SUN to implement new pulse charging which is 6 seconds per pulse.
This will benefits mobile subscriber because, most of the professional calls or business call doesn't take so much time or a minute. Urgent calls can only run for a seconds. Other Network Telecommunications in the Philippines disagree about the order of NTC, but since the start of petition for longer prepaid cellphone validity and so called scams by the third party content such as ring tones and similar, the fight started for cheaper telecommunication services.
Globe Telecom Started to notify each of the subscriber via text messages starting yesterday.
