Tsunami Warning After a Strong Earthquake
Earthquake hit Chile yesterday, this is resulting to an alert given to some Pacific countries in Asia. Tsunami are waves after an strong earthquake.
Be Prepared! Warning of Tsunami advisories are in out after a earthquake in Chile early Saturday (2/27/2010) morning.
It is expected that the first wave will hit the Philippines at 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM Sunday according to NWS.
The earthquake in Chile was 2:34 p.m. Saturday, time in the Philippines for almost a minute and a half. This is leading to Alert Level 1 of Tsunami in the Philippines. But according to the advisory, there is nothing to worry about, but everybody is warned to prepare for possible evacuation.

The Future of Internet in Asia
According to the study, majority of households in the United States of America is connected to the World Wide Web or the Internet. It is very common to all the homes in some part of the world except asia that most people are connected in the World Wide Web.
But in Asia, it is still limited. In the Philippines itself, the internet was initially installed last 1997 where dial connection was used only by the rich companies and organization who can afford the subscription of Internet initially started with the cost of 100 pesos per hour with the connection maximum of 56kbps only!. When the time comes, the internet cost in the Philippines started to grow and the speed became more powerful up to 128kbps. That year around year 2001, the internet cost for the DSL or Digital Subcriber line is around P 7500 pesos for unlimited internet connection, where only big companies can afford it. As time goes by, DSL became popular in the Philippines that majority of the organization use internet for productivity.
When 2004 came, telecommunication providers started the competition of lower internet cost. As of the moment, Philippine Internet Providers or ISP started to remove the Dial Up Connection, but in some areas it is still availble.
The fastest Internet connection in the Philippines was raised to 100Mbps which is only 14,000 per month. But as of the moment, around 2 out of 10 households has own internet subscription, but it is growing rapidly, expected to reach up to 5 out of 10 by the end of this year.
Technology in the Philippines sometimes late, because of the reason of it is a poor country, but this is expected to reach the highest peak of technology instantly as the price of those technology become common.

Teachers Treatment on Student’s Feedback and Evaluation
Universities and Colleges evaluates faculty members thru Teachers Evaluation, it is a tool use to measure how student's give a grade to the teachers.
In some unavoidable cases, negative feedback may arise from students, since teachers cannot impress everybody. They might not appreciate despite of hard work that the teacher do. Some students may treat as a trip because the teacher might be a terror, low grader, too strict, or even not handsome or beautiful. Sometimes it is just simply they don't like the way they are, or they admire the teacher and that's why they give a wrong feedback because of lack of attention from an emotional student.
So the question is, if you are a teacher, how must you treat your students after giving a positive and negative feedback for you. First lets talk about positive feedback, of course if the positive feedback is true, then you should continue and give more effort into it. But if the positive feedback is false, then the student simply just like you as a person or they see you as a good person, even you don't know how to teach. But treat this one as a good way for you to deliver your lessons effectively because the asset here is the students are really listening into you.
If you received positive feedback, never change your self as the way you are. Don't treat evaluation as just part of your job, but treat it as part of your personality and life. This means, you must maintain your good self, before and mostly after the evaluation. This must be a good motivation for you to improve your job! Remember it is the noblest profession in the world.
How about negative feedback? We cannot avoid negative feedback, unless in some cases of dedicated and balanced teachers, this can be happen. If a teacher receives a negative feedback, the teacher must accept the feedback and use it as a motivation factor for improvement. Remember that nobody is perfect, everybody commit mistakes and teacher are also human who made mistakes, even the profession is the most noblest. Remember that you must give what is for students, this means they need learning and lessons for them to learn more.
Some mistakes of a teachers, they may treated the student badly because they received a negative feedback. In this regard, teacher may feel different and might not be effective to teach students because of an impression that a teacher think especially if the teacher is sensitive. Some might be depressed or cannot be motivated anymore to give its quality instructions to the class. Another mistakes is teacher may give hard examinations and let the student fail, being too strict and being too much giving wall to the relationship doesn't help on the learning side of the student. Other teachers give a low grade to the students because of low evaluation. Kindly take note that it is the mistakes of a teacher for an actions that is not really good, and it is not the mistakes of students. It is not a good basis for teacher to give a low grade to student because of honestly negative evaluation, if this is happen, it proves the unprofessionally act and not qualified to handle the noblest profession. Remember students must not be force to learn, they are also motivated.
The best treatment for negative feedback is readjustments, the teacher must deeply appreciate the negative feedback in a positive way. If there is no feedback there is no room for adjustment and nobody cannot tell you what is wrong about you. Remember that those students might be concern about other classmates that they need improvement, so as a teacher you need a hard effort to readjust for the next evaluation, you will be better and better. Since nobody is perfect, at least you know that you learn from your students, they can be your teacher in personality development and they might let you realized your mistakes and learn from the past even students don't know that it can be happen to yourself. Be happy on accepting negative feedback, let your student feel that you change, and for the next time, you will be having a good feedback from them, if you try hard to readjust for good.
It might be hard to do, but you are not in the low level that its easy to level up, and you cannot go into the next level unless you didn't kill the hindrances such as monster and dirt in your heart and mind.
